A : → All tires sold in Europe after July 1997 must carry an E-mark. The mark itself is either an upper or lower case "E" followed by a number in a circle or rectangle to certify that the tyres comply with the EEC directives in performance and marking requirements. However We cannot ascertain where the same marking regulations apply to the captioned OTR (off the road) tyres. Please see the definitions of the E/e marks provided by a standard certification company for reference and information.

Q : → We are going to export OTR tyres to the EU. It is clear that for private and commercial vehicles, all tyres must carry an "e" or "E" marking. But for the OTR tyres, it is not clear. Can someone give us any advise on that? If possible, can anyone advise on the import duty for OTR tyres to the EU. Thanks in advance.
