A : → It is important for the exporter to arrange proper packages, to label the consignments to be exported, and to present proper documents to facilitate the customs clearance. These include commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, country of origin certificate, identification of tariff codes and licensing if necessary. It will then be the importer's responsibility to inform the customs authorities of the transaction and to present documentation within 14 days of the arrival of the goods, which will not be released until the duty on them has been paid. Customs broker/agent may be employed to assist with the handling. Who should be the payer of import duties is subject to negotiation between the seller and the buyer.

Q : → We are a new company and are considering to export knitted garments to US and EU. How do we pay for that? What are the payment terms? Is that paid before shipment, during clearance or a certain days after clearance or delivery? Do we pay for that via shipping company?
