A : → Further to my teleconversation today with the representative of the Garment Manufacturers Association in Cambodia, we were told that whether or not US custom would execute new measures to control garment shipment from Cambodia has yet been decided at the moment. We were told that the Cambodian government is negotiating with the US government. The reasons why the issue was raised were due to: 1)transhipment 2)fake Certificate of Origin 3)too many unclear procedures at the beginning of the year. Garment shipment from Cambodia to the US remains normal at the moment.
